How To Build An Affiliate Website
Last week I received e-mail from Brian Terry and he mention about some idea on how to build an affiliate website, and I think the idea of the email it good to share with all of you that intererest in building the affiliate website; here he is I’ve got some excellent questions from subscribers I’d like to answer.
.. the QUESTION is: What’s the quickest, simplest and easiest way of building an affiliate website? BRIAN suggestion: It all depends on how much money you have to spend on this. Now you can do this the free way…
But that has it’s own risks attached. For example… You could go to WordPress and create a freeBlog hosted there. All you need to do is just start posting messages to your blog each day where you recommend and review the products you’ve bought yourself. But the problem is they could close down your site if they don’t like your content and you’ll have lost everything.
The same is true of Blogger, Tumblr and many other web 2.0 publishing sites out there. They all have their fingers poised over a kill switch for all their websites… Including yours! My best advice would be:
1. Get some cheap hosting from BlueHost or HostGator (they’re both good)
2. Buy yourself a domain name (it MUST be a .com – forget anything else!) Your domain name ideally needs to tell people what your site is about and include your main keyword.
3. Install WordPress on your site using the simple-click install BlueHost or HostGator give you (it’s so simple even my granny could do it!).
4. Choose a premium theme from here… http://bigsellinganswers.com/Premium I recommend using the one called “Canvas” because it focuses people’s attention on the content and has lots of options for including advertising. Here’s how I’ve used it… http://MustHaveSelfConfidence.com
You might be wondering why I don’t say just get yourself a freeTheme? (like every one else does). Premium themes give you a competitive advantage because of their high quality and flexibility in how you can customize them. You want your site to stand out amongst all those millions of free themed sites out there, right?
the other QUESTION is:
I’ve been building links to my new site for 2 weeks now but my traffic hasn’t increased at all. Why?
BRIAN suggestion : You need to give it up to a month for those links you’ve set up on other sites to be fully spidered by the search engines. The thing about free traffic is you sometimes have to wait quite a while before you get reap the rewards of your efforts. The best thing to do is to just keep on link building even if it’s just a few links a day.
Link building is something that adds up over time and should never be rushed. It’s much like trying to push a car that’s broken down. Getting started is hard but once you’ve got the thing moving it soon picks up speed.
the other QUESTION: What’s the very best tool for finding profitable niche markets that I can get easy traffic in?
BRIAN suggestion : There was a time when I would just give you a dozen or so links and a series of complex formulas to follow. Just so you can get this back-door information. About a month ago I discovered this and it changed everything for me… http://bigsellinganswers.com/NicheProfits
