Secret Solo Ads Success Formula, build Your list quickly?

By harmen batubara

Money is in the List. That’s right. If you have been involved with Internet Marketing for any length of time, you would probably have heard of the saying “the money is in the list.” Internet Marketing Gurus have huge lists, which is why they can “crush it” by sending out a promotion to their list and getting a huge response in the form of sales. Simply, the larger your list, the more money you can potentially make from your subscribers. If you have the money to spend on a solo ad, it can be an excellent investment. However, as with all investments  you must conduct your due diligence.

What are solo ads?

A Solo Ad is an ad that is sent out to an email list, newsletter or ezine. Solo ads are stand-alone ads that are sent to a list, in a newsletter. The ad is the only thing in the email and because of this the ad is the only thing that has the reader attention.

Have you ever sent out follow-up emails from an auto responder like AWeber? Or maybe you have started receiving emails after signing up for a free offer? This is the beginning of a newsletter. You can generally write your own subject line, and most  publishers let you make the ad as long as you want.

What should you look for when trying to select an e-zine to advertise in? There are a number of things, but most importantly, you should consider the following: 1) the circulation of the e-zine;  2) the frequency of advertisements; 3) response rates from previous mailings; and 4) the price. Obviously, price is a vitally important factor; however, you should not allow it to overshadow all other factors in the decision-making process.

Your goal here is to make money with your mailing. Thus, if you have to spend twice as much to make three times as much, then do it. Don’t buy the cheapest solo ad simply because it’s cheap. Don’t plan to make no money – and thus buy the cheapest to minimize your loss. Figure out how to maximize your return and do it.

Solo Ads Are One Of The Most Powerful Advertising Tools You Can Use For Quick And Easy Advertising.

visitorTraffic is one thing. If that’s all you ever wanted. But, what good is traffic is nothing happens with it. Solo ads are a tremendous vehicle for receiving quality, targeted traffic but they have to work together with what you want the traffic to do. This is called your Most Wanted Response (MWR). This is what you write your solo ad around. To boost your solo ad’s effectiveness keep in mind your MWR and you’ll see an amazing increase in your profits.

What will get people to come back

For real solo ad power you have to realize that it costs more to advertise to the same person over and over again. So, when writing your ad with the MWR in mind, think of what you can offer to the visitor when they show up. One of the best things is an ezine, or some sort of mailing list where you can keep in touch with the person over and over again.

Another great tool to use is a multi part ‘how to’ course, or autoresponder series. By having something like this available on the page that the visitors will be coming to you are dramatically increasing the effectiveness of the solo ad. Remember when you writing an ad for a client ; always look at the site to see what it has to offer visitors when they get there. Never focus on the product, instead focus on what the site offers.

What is The Solo Ads Formula?

Now, when it comes to creating solo ads, I personally suggest that you spend some time at the following URL, learning about what it takes to convert readers into buyers:  Furthermore, I suggest that you go beyond simply writing copy and write as you would in the specific medium. For instance, if your solo ad will be featured in an e-zine, then you will want to write as if you are contacting members of a mailing list about a special offer or something similar. You may even want to refer to the owner of the list by his/her first name if he/she allows that.

Alternatively, rather than writing your own solo ad, you could simply use the product owner’s solo ad. In many cases, affiliate programs will include pre-written ads that affiliates can use to promote the product. If the products you promote have pre-written solo ads, you will want to consider using them, as they are likely to be high-quality. All you’ll have to do is slap your affiliate link in the solo ad, touch it up slightly (so it’s customized); and then send it off to the e-zine owner for distribution. Also, don’t forget to sign up for the actual e-zine (if it’s free), so that you can monitor the actual release to ensure that your ad is placed.

3 Solo Ads = Targeted Traffic

Bought solo ads in three different ezines and ran each one three times. People need to see an ad a few times before they click. Just like infomercials where you will see the same message repeated at least 3 times in the same ad, but in different ways. By the third time you will find that the desire to buy has become much stronger, and you feel yourself reaching for your credit card.

Try This Solo Ad Formula to success…

Step #1: Subscribe to 3 Targeted Newsletters related to your niche. You can Google with “your niche + newsletter” or “your niche + ezine” and take some time to dig though the results.

You may get lucky and find a few great newsletters to subscribe to, and also to run a solo ad in.  If you are in the Internet marketing niche, then you can check out the Warrior Forum.Try to search for “solo ad” and you will get some hits. If you are in other niches then you could try browsing around other forums. Some forums have categories that are created in the forum for people that are looking for solo ads.

Again, if you are just starting out then find a targeted newsletter. As you start to get a better ROI (return on investment) you can start testing. Although testing IS important, it is something you can do without to start with if money is tight. Other free or lower cost directories you can check out to find newsletters include:

The Ezine Directory ( $7 for $7-day trial) ( $24.95 for 3 months)

Ezine Hub

Best Ezines

Ezine Finder

Step #2: Contact the owners directly and asked them how much ad space cost. Email a list owner directly. Always ask the owner how many subscribers they have, and whether there is a discount available for multiple ads.

By contacting list owners directly, you may make friends with them. Check out the list first by subscribing to it, just in case the list owner sends out ads for things to buy and nothing else. You can judge the value of the list by the quality of the content. “The money is not just in the list, but also in the content that is provided to the people who are subscribed to it.

There are literally THOUSANDS of small ezines that will run your ads inexpensively, and if the publisher has a great relationship with his readers, and doesn’t run too many solo ads, you could get some AMAZING results. If the list owner does not have some sort of relationship with their list, then you can be sure that any ad you run with them will probably get a low response.
